Black Man: Your Healing Is Necessary

Thank you to all of the Black Men who have shown up this year
to participate in our Black Men Healing events, purchased
​Black Men Healing T-shirts, sponsored events, and continued
to support the Black Men Healing movement!

I want to give a special thank you and shout out to our
Black Men Healing community member Victor for traveling
all the way from Chicago to Atlanta TWICE this year to attend
Black Men Healing events.

Victor made the commitment to show up and participate because
it is rare for Black men to truly have safe spaces just for them.
A safe space to show up as Black men to receive support,
to be vulnerable and ask for what you need without judgement,
and to feel comfortable enough to put the heavy burden of the
Black Man’s Armor down long enough to truly heal.

I also want to thank my Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE) family
for welcoming Victor with open arms and treating him like family during his visits.
The warm hospitality he received from RICE Stakeholders made his trips extra special.

I am grateful for all of the Black men who have shown up
for a Black Men Healing experience, because your healing
is necessary. Thank you for showing up even when you
weren’t sure you would truly feel safe. Thank you for showing
up even when you feared judgement from other Black men.
